Welcome to the International Youth Food Culture Contest, an international writing and art contest for middle and high school students with a focus on food and food culture. The contest aims at providing a platform for students around the world to celebrate their passion in food and culinary arts, share their views on the role of food on specific cultures, voice their opinions on the impact of food in history and in today’s fast changing world, and communicate their thoughts for a better and healthier food environment.
Submissions can be in the form of writing (essay, short story, poem, recipe, food review, opinion, news article, letter, etc.) or in the form of artwork (illustration, drawing, painting, photography, etc.). We value your passion, imagination and creativity. The contest is open to middle and high school students anywhere in the world.
Submission period for the 2016 contest is now closed. We have received wonderful entries from many countries in North America, Asia, and Europe. We are truly grateful that the contest has brought joy, pride, and inspiration to so many peers around the world. Winners of the 2016 contest will be announced in September.
